Slim’s Quality Burger, a rapidly growing fast-casual chain on Australia’s east coast, engaged Amped Digital to redesign their Breakfast and Drive-Thru menus and refresh their existing Lunch and Dinner menus. Their existing menu system wasn’t effectively showcasing product hierarchy or value, and the client wanted a more engaging approach to improve readability and customer decision-making.
As the lead designer on the project, I developed a refreshed visual direction that merged Slim’s established brand with a playful retro twist inspired by classic 1950s diner charm. Script typography, colour blocking and halftone textures were introduced to elevate brand personality while improving menu legibility and scannability.
I designed and animated new menu layouts and promotional content across multiple formats — digital drive-thru boards, in-store screens, and printed menus — ensuring consistent hierarchy and pacing across every customer touchpoint. The updated system helped increase product visibility (especially combos and premium items) and created a more energetic and contemporary expression of the Slim’s brand.
