Print &Visual Identity

As part of the application process for the Graphic Communication co-worker position at IKEA Nottingham, the task was to design a visual identity for the 'Back to Uni' thread. The design needed to effectively communicate a fun, quirky, and youthful tone of voice while maintaining consistency across various point-of-sale (POS) media.

I crafted sketch-style illustrations featuring popular IKEA products, resembling a student's floor as they unpack moving boxes in their dorm room. To enhance the playful, student notebook vibe, I utilised fluorescent pink and green colours along with simple sketch-style typography. After scanning and converting the illustrations and typography into vector graphics, they were suitable for use at scale and across various store media. The resulting design offered a cohesive and compelling visual experience for the 'Back to Uni'
campaign thread.

Throughout my time at IKEA, I enjoyed working as part of a large creative team, collaborating with a number departments and stakeholders and departments to create customer-focused design solutions.
