For a university assignment, I was tasked with designing a creative catalogue and chose to document my Dad's cherished vinyl collection. This project delved into the memories and opinions he associated with each LP, capturing the essence of his musical journey. Drawing inspiration from a retro visual style, I carefully crafted all product imagery, aiming to create a design reminiscent of an aging, self-made scrapbook.
The intention was to evoke nostalgia and create a visually engaging experience for readers. Through the use of blending effects and scanned source materials, I carefully curated and presented each album in a manner that blended elements of personal storytelling, vintage aesthetics, and a passion for music, resulting in a unique and heartfelt publication.
This project allowed me to explore the intersection of design, storytelling, and personal connections, further refining my skills as a designer.
